Overview

Stellaris follows the BlueGlass Privacy Policy and our shared principles: we don't sell your data, we collect only what's needed to provide the service, you only see your own data, our app uses AI to do its job, and we don't keep data longer than we need it. This page describes how those principles apply specifically to Stellaris.

The short version: We collect the minimum needed to generate your chart and run the app (birth info, account identifier, your messages to Luna). Your data is yours alone — other users cannot see it. We do not sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Birth Information: birth date, birth time, and birth location, used to generate your personalized astrological chart and readings.
Account Information: if you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier. Your email address is only shared if you choose to share it during Sign in with Apple.
Chat Messages: messages you send to Luna, our AI astrologer, to provide personalized guidance.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
Location Data: with your permission, we may collect your current location to provide location-specific astrological insights. You can disable this in your device settings.
Usage Data: how you interact with the App, including features used and time spent.
Push Notification Tokens: if you enable notifications, we collect your device token to send transit alerts and updates.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

Apple: if you use Sign in with Apple, we receive authentication information from Apple.
App Store: if you make purchases, Apple processes the transaction and shares transaction identifiers with us.
App Store Server Notifications: Apple sends us server-to-server notifications about your subscription status (renewals, cancellations, refunds, billing retries) so we can provision or revoke access. These notifications include transaction and subscription identifiers but do not contain personally identifying information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

Generate and display your personalized natal chart
Provide AI-powered astrological guidance through Luna
Calculate planetary transits and forecasts specific to your chart
Send push notifications about significant astrological events (if enabled)
Process subscriptions and manage your account
Improve and optimize the App
Respond to customer support requests
Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not build profiles for sale or sharing.

3. AI Processing

Stellaris is an AI app. To generate readings and respond to your messages, we send your chat messages and the relevant astrological context (such as your natal chart placements) to Anthropic, our primary AI provider. We do not send your name, email, Apple ID, or other direct personal identifiers alongside your messages. Anthropic processes this data under their privacy policy.

We may use other AI providers in the future and will update this policy accordingly.

4. Data Storage, Access, and Security

Your birth information and chat history are stored securely on our servers.
You are the only user who can access your data through the App. Other users cannot see your chart, your chats, or your account information.
We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission (TLS/SSL).
Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain.

5. Data Retention

We keep your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days (backups created during normal operation may retain copies for a limited period before being overwritten).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only with:

Service Providers: third-party services that help us operate the App (hosting, analytics).
AI Providers: as described in Section 3.
Legal Requirements: when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — successor entities will be bound by this policy.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Deletion

You can request a copy of your data by contacting us
You can delete your account and all associated data through the App settings
Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days

7.2 Permissions

You can control:

Location Access: enable or disable in iOS Settings
Push Notifications: enable or disable in iOS Settings
Sign in with Apple: manage in your Apple ID settings

7.3 Communication

You can opt out of promotional communications while still receiving essential service notifications.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence (including the United States). These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights:

Right to know what personal information is collected
Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
